Keith Stein founded Stein Distributing in 1956 with the original beer brand of Heidelberg. Keith loved the beer business. After several years of hard work and personal sacrifice Keith became the official distributor of Budweiser in 1966. He grew the business from a little warehouse on Front Street to the current modernized warehouse on Phillippi in Boise. Keith was known for his hard work, humor, philanthropy and his moral code of doing business on a handshake.
Sadly, Keith Stein passed in November of 2015. His loss was deeply felt by his family, the Boise community, and within the company he founded. He left his legacy of Stein Distributing to his wife of 39 years, Catherine Stein, and company President John Grizzaffi. Stein Distributing was left in good hands and charges forward. Keith’s memory is still alive, and the business continues in his honor.
